Sara Gadalla Gubara is a mother, Grandmother, Cinema, TV and Animation Director, as well as a Swimming Coach and Lifeguard. Sara is a graduate of the Cinema Institute in Cairo, Egypt and owns a Production Studio. Sara has made a number of short animation films and TV series for Sudan Television. She was also involved in coproduction projects between Kuwait and Sudan and has directed commercials and documentary films in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She collaborated with many educational institutes and societies such as Ahfad University for Women and the Sudanese environmental Conservation Society. She took part in numerous Festivals in South Africa, Zanzibar & Nigeria. In 2008, she participated in the Kampala Film Festival with three of her films; “At the School”, “Light Worshiper “and “Le Miserable”. On another scope, Sara is a Water Aerobics Instructor and holds an international certificate in swimming, diving and safety: “Brevet National De Secours Et De Sauvetage Aquatique” and sports management. She has been the General Secretary of the Sudanese Swimming Local Federation since 2003. She is a member of both the Sudanese General Handicap Federation and the Local Women’s Committee. She is well known in the Sudan and abroad as an international long distance swimmer, and has participated in hundreds of local and international long distance competitions but most famously for that in Capri — Napoli. In 2007, she was the recipient of the Life Time achievement in women sports, presented to her by the International Olympic Committee. She is currently a consultant for many governmental and nongovernmental organizations in matters of women affairs and those with special needs.
